UDS Excels at ENACTUS 2025 Competition
The Entrepreneurial Action Through Us (ENACTUS) is a global student organization that connects tertiary institutions worldwide to develop innovative, sustainable solutions to real-world challenges while improving the quality of life in communities.
As part of its annual calendar of activities, ENACTUS Ghana organized the 2025 National Competition on 14th June 2025 at the GNAT Hall in Accra. The prestigious event brought together ENACTUS teams from leading universities across the country, offering students a vibrant platform to showcase transformative projects designed to address pressing societal issues. The overall winner earned the distinguished opportunity to represent Ghana at the ENACTUS World Cup.
A total of nine institutions competed at the national stage:
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)
- Koforidua Technical University
- Central University
- University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR)
- C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS)

The Road to the Finals
Prior to the grand finale, the competition progressed through group stages, divided into two leagues:
League One:
- KNUST
- Koforidua Technical University
- UENR
- UDS
- RUCSIT
League Two:
- Central University
- CKT-UTAS
- University of Ghana
- UMaT
After a highly competitive group phase, UDS and KNUST emerged as winners of their respective leagues and advanced to the finals, demonstrating excellence in innovation, presentation, and measurable impact.
The University for Development Studies (UDS) has been an active participant in ENACTUS competitions since 2019. In 2023, the university achieved a significant milestone by placing second runner-up, presenting impactful initiatives such as the Smart Flush Project and MyPure Solutions.
The Smart Flush Project introduced a water recycling system designed to reuse greywater from washrooms for continuous flushing. The initiative promotes water conservation, reduces waste, and advances environmental sustainability — a critical concern in many communities.
Meanwhile, MyPure Solutions is an educational technology platform that connects learners with tutors, providing access to practical skills training and affordable learning opportunities. The project addresses gaps in skills acquisition and promotes inclusive education.
Beyond the awards and recognition, ENACTUS offers students invaluable exposure, mentorship, and opportunities to refine their entrepreneurial, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The competition nurtures socially responsible leaders who are equipped to create measurable and lasting impact.
UDS continues to demonstrate resilience, innovation, and determination, consistently making strong comebacks on the national stage. With its sights set firmly on qualifying for the international competition in 2026, the team aims to expand the scale of its projects, deepen community impact, and intensify efforts toward solving critical environmental and socio-economic challenges.
As ENACTUS Ghana continues to empower young innovators, the 2025 National Competition once again affirmed the power of student-driven solutions in shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.
